Negotiation is Over - Florida

Help us get Liberated pig to her permanent sanctuary

In the early morning hours of Saturday, January 6, a group of NIO Florida activists liberated a pig from a miserable life of isolation inside a cage. She was left out in the freezing cold with no protection, no water, and little food. Our only concern was to get her to safety and give her a chance to have a good life with other pigs.

Urgent: Directory of Abusers with Addresses, Contact Info, Maps & More

Those who harm their innocent need to be exposed. And the state has provided us with a database that gives us the addresses, maps, contact information, names and addresses of their neighbors, as well as family relations — and it’s all public information.

Before the state removes this information, please share it widely so that everyone can locate the information they need and copy it into a pdf.

Home (with vivisectors) for the Holidays!

Eleventh Hour for Animals is spending quality time with vivisectors and their families this holiday season, from Friday, Dec. 22 through Christmas Eve. We know some of them identify as Christian so it’ll be a special time for all of us.

If you’d like to join us in Gainesville or if you’re in NY, please text us at (352) 702-5143 or email us at eleventhhour@riseup.net for further information. And, as always, please like our page on Facebook to follow us and participate in corresponding cyber actions through the holiday season.

Here’s a Christmas Riddle:

UF withholding animal experimentation records – Help Eleventh Hour for Animals Sue

Image of a a monkey being tortured inside the University of Florida
(awarded by the court on 12/30/11, Camille Marino v. UF)

Since I got back online four months ago, I filed numerous records requests with the University of Florida — not a single request has been honored and their game-playing has actually reached an entirely new level. I am in receipt of “disappearing” files — heavily-redacted partial records that were released and then “expired” and are no longer available. UF is under fire right now for their dishonest handling of records relating to other projects; possibly even providing fraudulent documents. And it is imperative that we pursue this issue in a timely manner to ensure maximum damage to their reputation. I will be meeting with my lawyer, Marcy I. LaHart, in early December in Gainesville. At that point, we will sue UF or pursue any other legal remedy we deem appropriate to take possession of the animal experimentation records. read more

How “Love & Peace” Kills Animals

“Species membership is not a valid reason to place anyone outside the circle of moral compassion or beyond the reach of effective defense.”

~Lindy Greene

“The time for civil discourse has expired.” ~Camille Marino

by Lindy Greene & Camille Marino

Globalization is predicated upon slave labor. Both animate and inanimate resources are expended to the point of exhaustion in pursuit of profit. The planet is being plundered to serve the self-anointed “superior species.” And it remains abundantly clear that our current course is unsustainable. Feeding and lubing the machinery of the entire system are the misery and blood of its vast nonhuman slave force. We were taught twenty centuries ago the myopic and destructive view that the other species with whom we share the Earth evolved for the sheer and sole purpose of serving us and that such servitude is the birthright of the privileged “master race.” Whether it’s factory farming contributing 37% of methane gases to global warming according to the UN or the federally-funded animal experimentation industry, it is extremely difficult to find any segment of the economy that does not commoditize and exploit members of other species for entertainment, sport, fashion, food, or testing. Subverting the integral animal economy is vital if we will ever free ourselves from the entrenched teamwork of corporate overlords and unprincipled governments.

The marriage of corporation and state, Mussolini’s definition of fascism, is epitomized by the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) – a group of corporate lobbyists and elected officials who serve big business profiteers. ALEC is the engine running the multi-billion-dollar prison / industrial complex. It’s single-minded mission in that endeavor is to maximize profits by keeping citizens jailed, on parole or probation, and otherwise inextricably ensnared in the judicial system. And ALEC is also the author of the federal 2007 Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act, the language of which conveys that any animal rights activist who affects the profits of an animal industry can be prosecuted for terrorism. Thus, any effective activist may be a terrorist by statute. And, at the state level, we see political free speech consistently reframed by the courts as terrorism with the speakers charged as stalkers. (By the way, there are actual laws on the books declaring “edgy speech” to be just “political hyperbole” and perfectly legal. Those same books also state that First Amendment activity does not fall under the legal definition of “stalking.” But judges apply (or fail to apply) laws as they see fit. It costs thousands of dollars to file motions, which are almost universally denied, for review of their decisions.) And, according to the New York Times, ALEC is behind the state legislatures’ trend to make photographing industrial animal abuse a crime (“ag-gag” laws). Let this penetrate: Animal abuse is not only protected, but exposing it is prosecutable. (Such punitive measures are not new. Anyone caught in the antebellum South helping Black slaves to escape from the plantations risked hanging.)

Let’s help Infectious Disease Enthusiast Drusano celebrate his 68th birthday! :)

Simulposted with Camille Marino

Time is running out so let’s put our heads together and come up with something special to help vivisector George Louis Drusano, an infectious disease enthusiast, celebrate his 68th birthday next Tuesday, August 22. 🙂

Although UCF Sergeant Freeman called to assure me that Drusano is not giving monkeys infection diseases on UF’s campus in Orlando, where George lives and works, he is collecting roughly $2.5 million taxpayer dollars for that express purpose. Presumably the fact that his victims are being tortured in Gainesville and other locations is assumed by some to mitigate his culpability. read more

This morning’s call from law enforcement proves what I already knew…

Five weeks after winning my first lawsuit against the University of Florida, UFPD Sergeant Jeff Moran personally orchestrated my very first arrest at a UF Protest in 2012. Documents obtained through public records requests demonstrate that he also orchestrated two extraditions to get me out of Florida, the first torturous excursion cost UF a grand total of $536.50. Having failed to silence me, he then set out on a mission to extinguish my work from the internet and attempted to have me imprisoned for 5 years for the banned video, Defiance is a Virtue. This online video which he alleged constituted a probation violation was reported in the news as my having committed “wire fraud.” Jeff Moran tried every dirty trick to shut down Eleventh Hour for Animal’s campaign to expose primate experimentation at UF.

Introducing UF Vivisector Barry J. Byrne’s Pompe Disease & Muscular Dystrophy Experiments

The Mayo Clinic describes muscular dystrophy as “a group of diseases that cause progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass.” And the NIH National Library of Medicine describes infant-onset Pompe Disease (a rare form of muscular dystrophy):

“Infants with this disorder typically experience muscle weakness (myopathy), poor muscle tone (hypotonia), an enlarged liver (hepatomegaly), and heart defects. Affected infants may also fail to gain weight and grow at the expected rate (failure to thrive) and have breathing problems. If untreated, this form of Pompe Disease leads to death from heart failure in the first year of life.”

The illustrious pediatrician/vivisector, Dr. Barry J. Byrne, is directly responsible for the genetically-modified breeding of untold numbers of mice, dogs, and monkeys to exhibit the debilitating neurological and musculoskeletal mutations associated with muscular dystrophy and Pompe disease. For his efforts, Dr. Byrne has received high public praise, even a nomination for a “Spirit of Gainesville” award:

Dr. Byrne has been relentless in his pursuit of a treatment/cure for various forms of rare diseases, such as Pompe Disease, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and Barth’s Syndrome. His focus on oft overlooked diseases has put the University of Florida on the map in new advances for these diseases.”

non-combatants are fair game

by Camille Marino

In dealing with those who have no moral grounding, no compunction about deliberatly causing nonhuman animals pain, misery, and distress, it is absurd that we would walk some ethical moral tightrope to address individuals who rightly deserve to be strung up by their testicles and set on fire. And I would sit back eating popcorn while I watched them burn.

So let’s be clear. When these people chose to make a living carving up nonhumans who they believed to be defenseless, they forfeited all rights to any form of consideration… and that extends to their families — no one is off limits when it comes to dealing with sadistic murderous psychopaths who have been allowed to ply their trade with impunity. They declared war on animals and it is up to us to engage and respond. For those with a weak stomach who were offended when I started taking vivisection students out of the game, it’s my goal to make you long for those good old days.

Action Alert: send email to put our own USDA animal abuse database back online

Camille Marino
July 28, 2017

We all know the USDA deleted its animal abuse database in February. Last week I published a post about how to bypass this little obstacle. I noticed a lot of traffic on this post from universities, presumably vivisectors who are enjoying remaining anonymous. Following is a Freedom of Information Act request. Please copy the text, insert the name of your local university or other abuser on the blank lines, and send it to the USDA now. When you get the inspection reports back, send them to me at eleventhhour@riseup.net. I’ll be more than happy to put all of this information back online and host it on my site.
