Victim of the University Vivisection Complex. (Courtesy of whistleblower, 2011)

by Camille Marino

In the case of Camille Marino v. the University of Florida, a hearing will take place at the Alachua County Courthouse tomorrow afternoon at 3:30.

In response to the Court’s Nov. 3 Order to Show Cause, UF is still refusing to disclose public vivisection records citing a “veterinary-client” privilege that exists between them and their victims.

Gainesville activists are encouraged to join me in court tomorrow afternoon:

Three New Yorkers representing Negotiation Is Over dropped by The Gin Mill earlier this evening to welcome University of Florida alumni members who came for a basketball game viewing party. Alumni were given informational packets and asked to sign a petition condemning vivisection at UF.

The street traffic was brisk and many other passersby requested a flyer and asked for more information about the animals being tortured for research money.

One woman said in reaction that forcing animals to endure experimentation, “is really a crime against nature.”

Police monitored the activists for the duration of their community outreach.

The Gator Bowl is one that stands on its own as one of the best battles each year in college football. In the more than six decades since the Gator Bowl first began, it has earned a reputation as a place where college football history is made and changed. This year, on January 2 at 1 pm EST, Ohio State will face Florida in Jacksonville. All Gator clubs, fans, and alumni, will be watching somewhere in the world.

Comrades, make plans to join NIO on January 2nd 1pm EST…. in YOUR CITY. Just Google “gator clubs” in your area to organize a protest close to home. Please write to camille@negotiationisover.net or lgrossman621@gmail for flyers, signs, and alumni petition. We will be happy to help you locate and plan an event.
We thank all of our comrades around the world for all of your efforts and support!

From the London Gator Club:

Hi Gators!

Please ignore all of the posts regarding the testing of primates at UF.

The London Gator Club does not fund any such testing (we don’t have any money to fund anything!)

The people that have been posting on our wall about this will be at the game on Monday to protest.

To keep our fans safe we ask that you show up to the game in regular clothing (no orange and blue).

We do not want anyone to be attacked because they are wearing Gator gear.

On the otherside of the pond, a hefty campaign is being waged by activists at Negotiation is Over against the use of primates in experimentation at the University of Florida.

Within the academic establishment monkeys are used in psychology experiments where electrodes are implanted into their skulls and they are forced into narcotics addiction.

So here’s where you come in. The London Gator Club are the British fundraising arm of the University of Florida and are set to host an event in London this coming Monday to mark the Gator Bowl.

Activists have already been placing pressure on the venue to pull and the owner has stated that he is sick of being contacted regarding this issue. His response was to put a misleading statement out to curb attention, citing that no event is taking place for Florida State University – which is true – as the event is being hosted for the University of Florida – a completely seperate establishment.

Please contact Jetlag Bar and ask them to pull the London Gator Club event this Monday and inform them of the horrors inside UF’s laboratories:

SAMPLE LETTER

Dear Scott Wilson,

I have just received the news that your bar is to host an event for the London Gator Club this Monday, the fundraising arm for the University of Florida.

Although you have issued a statement regarding the Gator Bowl event, you have listed the wrong establishment and the event is still confirmed as going ahead.

Incase you are unaware, the University of Florida conduct vicious experiments on primates – including implanting electrodes into their skulls and getting them addicted to narcotics. These primates were torn from their jungle homes to die in a small cage many thousands of miles away. The London Gator Club fundraise for this.

I request that you make the honest decision and cancel the Gator Bowl event. Unless this is done, I shall boycott your bar.

Yours Sincerely,

A recent victim from inside the university vivisection complex. (Whistleblower, 2011)

by NIO Florida

On December 20, 2011, the University of Florida officially refused a court order to comply with our lawsuit to disclose public vivisection records. They cite a veterinary-patient privilege under which, if they are to be successful, they will need to prove that vivisection is being done in their victim’s best interest. Although we are looking at a protracted legal battle, NIO now has an opportunity to expose the insidious nature of animal experimentation in a court of law. The implications and ramifications of this case for our community are significant.

Therefore, in our continuing efforts to stop the flow of funds into UF’s animal torture labs, we are continuing to bring this campaign to their global network of benefactors.

At 7 pm tonight, Rutgers University in New Jersey will host a basketball game against the University of Florida.

UF’s New York Alumni — the Gotham Gators — will hold their “viewing party” on Manhattan’s upper westside. NIO activists will begin to gather at 6:15 to greet them:

The Gin Mill
442 Amsterdam Avenue
New York, New York

Flyers have been printed and signs will be handed out to activists. For anyone coming, if you have a toy stuffed monkey, please bring it.

We thank all of our comrades in New York for all of your efforts and support.

This primate was tortured to death inside the University Vivisection Complex. It's too late for him. Countless victims still wait. If we don't stop this now, their blood will be on our hands too...

by NIO Florida

All activists in New York and New Jersey are invited to help us escalate our anti-vivisection campaign against the University of Florida. This week we are turning our attention to the New York Gator Club/Gotham Alumni Network. For background info and to join our cyber action, please click HERE.

On Wednesday night, December 28 at 7 pm, there will be an away basketball game at Rutgers University in New Jersey.

The “viewing party” will take place on Manhattan’s upper westside:

The Gin Mill
442 Amsterdam Avenue
New York, New York

If you can be at Rutgers or The Gin Mill on Wednesday evening, please write camille@negotiationisover.net and lgrossman621@gmail.com for downloadable flyers, talking points, and further information.

NIO Florida will be systematically targeting UF’s alumni and global benefactors to stop the flow of money into their animal torture labs. We must persuade them to adopt a compassionate and progressive research policy inside this institution.

We need and appreciate the support of our colleagues everywhere.

The University of Florida Gators Clubs around the world support and fund animal torture at UF, even though non-animal alternatives are available and used world wide. Primates are imprisoned in their labs, poisoned, sickened, and killed. Among thousands of other animals, more than 200 are forced to endure painful experiments without anesthesia, their only relief being an agonizing death. In addition to UF being unresponsive for over a year about apparently-fraudulent grants- a formal NIO lawsuit against UF is now pending to compel disclosure of public primate vivisection records. We must stop their money flow NOW to save lives! Sponsoring a sports team is fine, but until UF bans animal testing all club members are sponsoring the heinous suffering in UF labs when alternatives are available- and we are telling the world about their CHOICE.

This week’s target: New York (“Gotham”) Gator Club

UNHAPPY NEW YEAR! While the New York Gator Club celebrates the New Year this week, innocent primates and other animals languish in UF’s prisons looking forward to celebrating their own miserable deaths. We need to tell the New York Gator Club and its supporters to stop funding archaic “science” and ban all animal testing NOW!!

UF Public Relations Director Janine Sikes

by NIO Florida

In response to the systematic blackening of all transparency in conjunction with a stonewall of silence constructed by the animal-murdering administration at the University of Florida over the last year and a half, we decided that it is time to take the facts directly to the global network of their Alumni Association… the “Gator Nation.” Upon initiating this prong of the campaign several weeks ago, an ally within the administration forwarded to us a letter from Public Relations Shill Janine Sikes that was immediately sent to Gator Clubs warning of NIO extremists.

After an intensified round of “Seasons Greetings” calls from activists to the Executive Director of the Alumni Association as well as other key targets this afternoon, we learned that there is a bit of “unrest” within UF about having their crimes against animals, untruths, and the seemingly-fraudulent grants filling their coffers exposed to their benefactors. Because of the current atmosphere at the university as well as the fact that we will be in a position to document and refute a number of Sike’s deliberate inaccuracies shortly, our comrade has now given us permission to publish the letter that follows below.

We tried to reach Sikes for comment today but she’s enjoying a relaxing Christmas vacation paid for with the blood of enslaved and tortured animals. Merry Christmas, Janine… there’s much more where this came from.

It’s been a long and arduous battle thus far…. And, as long as UF continues to wage war on their laboratory victims, this campaign is about to get a whole lot more personal…

The University of Florida Gators Clubs around the world support and fund animal torture at UF. Primates are imprisoned in their labs, poisoned, sickened, and killed when alternatives are avaialble. Among 1000s of other animals, more than 200 are forced to endure painful experiments without anesthesia. In addition to UF being unresponsive for over a year about apparently-fraudulent grants, a formal NIO lawsuit against UF is now pending to compel disclosure of public primate vivisection records. We must stop their money flow NOW to save lives!
THIS WEEK’S ACTION

There are 100 Gator Clubs around the world whose members are UF alumni and friends. They all need to know the truth about what their money funds! Sponsoring a sports team is fine, but until UF bans animal testing all club members are sponsoring the heinous suffering in UF labs when alternatives are available. This week we target the second-largest club – Tampa Gators.
